Uptown Timeline

Drawing on archival sources and oral history narratives, this three-dimensional interactive historical timeline provides a different way to visualize the rich and long history of grassroots efforts to resist urban displacement in Uptown - from social movements, community organizations, newsletters, political campaigns, protests, and so much more. It charts the history of Uptown through these efforts, contextualizing these movements and moments in relation to broader events of historical relevance in the city and beyond.
